Standing together and writing letters to the provincial government helped to have the Critical Workers Benefit paid out to staff that did not receive it due to their position title.

Emails were sent out to staff that didn’t originally qualify based on job titles and those individuals were notified of the government’s review and reversal of initial decision.  Thank you to those that participated in the letter writing campaign, contacted government and thank you to the Board for requesting a review. 

A huge thank you to President Jorge Illanes who initiated this campaign and lobbied the Board to have support staff treated with equity and respect!
