Let’s hope UCP gets it right on Omicron

Again our provincial government abdicates any and all responsibilities. Jason “Best Summer Ever” Kenney and his perpetual excuse machine David Staples are betting lives that Omicron will be somehow sufficiently mild to counteract the absolutely astonishing virulence increase.

Again, they’re doubling down for the fifth time hoping that this time, unlike the last four times, they’ll finally get something right. We all have to hope beyond reasonable assumption that this time, they’ll get incredibly lucky. I’m sure if they are, we will hear nothing but how right they’ve always been over and over.

Meanwhile, I sit terrified that my father’s cancer surgery will be postponed. COVID may not get him, but that cancer surely will.
