Spring 2022 Donor Update
It’s starting to look like spring is on its way! Despite the ups and downs of a typical Albertan April, it looks like consistent warm weather is finally on the horizon. As our city dethaws from winter, our team is working hard to prepare for our upcoming programs like our Mother’s Day Family Celebration and our Summer Day Camp programs.
The past few months have been busy at Kids On Track! We’ve been able to host our annual Christmas and Winter Carnival Family Celebrations and continue our Shift Youth and Character Clubs programs.
At our Christmas Blacklight Puppet Show, we had nearly 350 kids, youth, and parents attend. Many of our youth practiced for months and performed two showings of Mayhem In Bethlehem, a show about the story of Christmas. Families were sent home with personalized gift bags and winter coats for their kids.
Our Winter Carnival saw over 250 people attend, making it our most-attended Winter Carnival yet! The weather was great, and families enjoyed hot chocolate, skating, sleigh rides, and more at Britannia-Youngstown Community League. It was an incredible day of community building!
For the rest of this update, we want to share a few quick videos about what’s going on at Kids On Track and share a special video from MP Kelly McCauley in the House of Commons. MP McCauley took time to honour the work of our founder, Linda Roussel. Linda’s heart for the community has resulted in Kids On Track serving thousands and thousands of families since 1992. Thank you, Linda! |
